Anaheim, CA (January 25, 2010) -- Schecter Guitars has released their two latest single-cut models, the Solo Vintage and Solo Special. The company aims to capture traditional, vintage-styled features at a sub-$1000 price point. Here's more information from Schecter:
The Solo Vintage brings back the vibes with a Bigsby B-50 Vibrato, roller Tune-O-Matic bridge and filtertron-esque covered pickups. Hiding under those groovy covers are a Duncan Designed HB-102 and an FG-101 in the bridge and neck position respectfully. Adding to the retro cool factor is a raised “S” logo on the headstock with crème binding on the body, neck and headstock.

The Solo Special keeps the flash backs coming with a slab body packing a Duncan Designed HB-102 in the bridge position and a Duncan Designed P-100 which is a noiseless variant of the popular P-90.

Both guitars are 24.75” scale length mahogany bodies with Schecter’s Ultra-Access Set Neck, 22 Medium fret Rosewood boards and crème dot inlays. For modern versatility, coil tapping is standard on each model, which allows for single coil trips to the sonicsphere.

You can find the Solo Special for ($729) MSRP, available in See-Thru Cherry (STC), TV Yellow (TVY) and 2-Tone Sunburst (2TSB). The Solo Vintage is priced at ($869) MSRP with color options of See-Thru Cherry (STC), Gloss Black (BLK) and 2-Tone Sunburst (2TSB).
