Based on the extremely popular existing R314K and R320SWR vintage models, these new parlors offer the same great features without the “vintage” finish.

Chicago, IL (February 11, 2011) - Earlier this month at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, Washburn Guitars debuted two new Parlor acoustic models. Based on the extremely popular existing R314K and R320SWR vintage models, these new parlors offer the same great features without the “vintage” finish.

R315KK

Parlor guitars are widely popular amongst acoustic players because of their balance for fingerpicking, brightness of tone and surprising volume for their size. A spruce top on the R315KK and solid spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides on the R321SWRK further enhance both guitars’ sound, delivering an open mid-range while their compact bodies make them great travel guitars.

R321SWRK

Both parlors are built with mahogany necks with ebony fretboards and bridges, beautiful abalone rosettes and intricate herringbone bindings. The R315KK is complemented with a trembesi back and sides and a fancy geometric inlay which pays homage to the 1900s during which the popularity of parlor guitars peaked. The upgraded R321SWRK features a delicate tree of life inlay which is offset by its dark, solid rosewood back and sides.

The R315KK and R321SWRK will be available mid 2011. The R315KK will retail for $712.90 and the R321SWRK will retail for $1,069.90.
