Petaluma, CA (November 25, 2019) -- Mesa/Boogie announces the addition of the new compact Mark Five: 25 1x10 Combo and 1x10 Boogie Extension Cabinet to its renowned line of award-winning amplifiers and cabinets, hand-built in the company’s Petaluma, California shop.

At just over 14x14 inches and 24 pounds., the long list of features in the new Mark Five: 25 1x10 Combo will quickly draw any guitarists attention. Features include Mesa’s patented Multi-Watt channel assignable power amp and proprietary Dyna-Watt technology providing two power levels with different wiring configurations via independent 10/25-Watt power switches for each channel. According to Mesa, the amp’s 10-Watt Mode utilizes 2 tubes operating in Class A/B Triode for lush harmonics and liquid feel at lower volumes while the 25-Watt Mode utilizes 2 tubes operating in Mesa’s exclusive Dyna-Watt Class A/B Pentode for maximum power, punch and clarity. Equipped with 2 independent channels and 6 style modes, the Mark Five: 25’s Channel 1 features clean, fat or crunch modes with a Multi-Watt power switch offering of 10 or 25 Watts. Channel 2 features the legendary Mark IIC+, Mark IV and Xtreme Modes with a Multi-Watt power switch of 10 or 25 Watts and a selectable 5-Band Graphic EQ which is foot switchable, channel assignable or it can be bypassed. The small Combo features a UK made Celestion G10 Creamback speaker chosen specifically for its unique ability to deliver surprisingly rich tone for a format of this size. Rounding out the feature set, reverb fans will find the brand’s classic all-tube, spring reverb with independent channel control on the rear panel, a fully buffered, tube FX Loop and built-In CabCloneTM Cabinet Simulator with internal amp load and headphone output.

Joining the new Combo, Mesa announces their new Boogie 1x10 Extension Cabinet, available in open or closed back, and the enclosure too is loaded with a rear mounted, UK made Celestion G10 Creamback speaker. All Mesa enclosures are made using the finest void-free, marine grade Baltic Birch. Constructed for rugged durability, rabbet corners are glued and nailed, and speaker baffles are fitted with dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board and grille materials are made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.

“Now with the smallest Combo and 1x10 Extension ever to wear a Boogie logo, historic Mark Series Tone awaits in a grab and go format that looks demure and jewel-like, but sounds formidable, if not just plain mind-blowing. Like the original Mark I Boogie that started it all, this tiny new Mark 1x10 sneaks in like a mouse but roars like a lion once it starts speaking! Whether you choose the Head and a matching Extension or the 1x10 Combo alone for ultimate portability, the Mark Five: 25 unveils a new and exciting version of a classic in the 1x10 Format. With bit more chime, shred and slightly tucked low end that is perfect, even perhaps preferable for some, this is a package you not only have to hear to believe, but just can’t help but smile when you do.” said Doug West, Director of R&D at Mesa/Boogie.
