Since attending a Dave Matthews Band concert as a teenager, Jason has been into all things guitar. An Iowa native, Jason has degrees in Music Business from Minnesota State-Mankato and Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Northern Iowa. Since then, he has spent time doing everything from promotion at an indie music label to organizing guitar workshops all over the country. Currently, Jason lives with his wife, son, and daughter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

This axe started as a Fender Eric Clapton Strat before Urban swapped out the original neck for a left-handed Cabronita neck. The mid-boost circuit is till intact, but the pickups were changed to a pair of Fender Fat ’50s in the neck and middle positions and a DiMarzio Area 67 in the bridge.

We caught up with Keith Urban’s guitar tech, Chris Miller, for a look at the country-fried rocker's setup (watch the video here) that's overspilling with mash-up Fenders and classic Gibson guitars, iconic amps, and a condensed pedalboard (see his 2011 Rig Rundown to fully understand Urban's gear geekery).
