Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires
Bradley got his first break in the '90s when he was in Brooklyn performing as a James Brown impersonator. Discovered by Daptone Records, Bradley has since put out two albums of his own material, including 2013's Victim of Love. Inspired by their retro ringleader, the Extraordinaires play old-school gear. Bassist Vince Chiarito plays a 1976 Gibson SB-300 into an Ampeg SVT-CL and Ampeg SVT-810E. Guitarist Alex Chakour plays his Truetone Speed Demon into an Ibanez Wau Fuzz and a Fender Super Reverb, while Paul Schalda plays his Rickenbacker 360 into a Boss TR-2 Tremolo and a Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue.

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
