In Kurt Vonnegutā€™s groundbreaking 1963 satirical novel, Catā€™s Cradle, the author lays out the framework of the jargon-heavy Bokononist religion. One recurring concept is the karassā€”a group of people pulled together by forces outside of their control to complete a mission beyond their understanding.
