Mad Professor Amplification Releases Limited-Edition Modded Pedals

Mad Professor Amplification Releases Limited-Edition Modded Pedals

The new pedals are a Sweet Honey Overdrive with Fat Bee mod and a Ruby Red Booster with a Nashville Hot Mids mod.

Finland (April 20, 2020) -- Mad Professor Amplification, the long standing and awarded pedal manufacturer, is using coronavirus downtime to release limited edition modded pedals. Mad Professor´s manufacturing facility hasn’t been running at full production power during the pandemic so the company has opted to use the extra time on working with custom series pedal designs.

Two new limited edition pedals are available immediately: Sweet Honey Overdrive with Fat Bee mod and Nashville Hot Mids Solo Boost modded Ruby Red Booster.

Sweet Honey Overdrive with Fat Bee mod - Bottom end tweaked to the limit

Everybody knows that no one pedal can marry happily with all amps. A few times Mad Professor´s headquarter got a message that Sweet Honey Overdrive could use more bass with this and that amp. Wait.. they have Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe already with the bass control. Well, deluxe version has some other differentials too, but it has the bass adjustment BEFORE drive circuit. And that’s great too, but they have added more bass AFTER the drive circuit into this limited edition custom series Sweet Honey Overdrive with Fat Bee mod. So what you get is the same sound and the same drive section with more bass!

”The sheer dynamics of the Sweet Honey Overdrive make it one of those pedals you have to own before you die. Like a great valve amp, it cleans up when you ease off your attack on your guitars strings and then unleashes glorious harmonically rich overdrive when you dig in”. -says Harri Koski, the CEO.

Nashville Hot Mids Solo Boost modded Ruby Red Booster - Especially tailored for boosting and fattening your solos!

Mad Professor´s friends over at Nashville came up with the idea for Nashville Hot Mids Solo Boost modded Ruby Red Booster: Treble boost part of the pedal is now modified to fatten also the upper mids and treble instead of only treble as in original Ruby Red Booster. This new mod makes for a thick and sparkly lead tone as the carefully chosen hot midrange frequencies are added to the treble pot, which is now bringing up a perfect blend of presence and mids. Exactly what is needed to make your solos to be heard! These cats in Nashville with enormous time on stages and studios know what they are talking about when it comes to guitar solos!

These limited-edition versions are hand modded in Finland and available until further notice.

A 26 1/4" scale length, beastly pickups, and buttery playability provoke deep overtone exploration and riotous drop-tuning sounds.

A smooth, easy player that makes exploring extra scale length a breeze. Pickups have great capacity for overtone detail. Sounds massive with mid-scooped fuzz devices.

Hot pickups can obscure some nuance that the wealth of overtones begs for.

No matter how strong your love for the guitar, there are days when you stare at your 6-string and mutter under your breath, “Ugh … you again?” There are many ways to rekindle affection for our favorite instruments. You can disappear to Mexico for six months, noodle on modular synths, or maybe buy a crappy vintage car that leaves you longing for the relative economy of replacing strings instead of carburetors. But if you don’t want to stray too far, there are also many variations on the 6-string theme to explore. You can poke around on a baritone, or a 6-string bass, or multiply your strings by two until you reach jingle-jangle ecstasy.

A familiar-feeling looper occupies a sweet spot between intuitive and capable.

Intuitive operation. Forgiving footswitch feel. Extra features on top of basic looping feel like creative assets instead of overkill.

Embedded rhythm tracks can sneak up on you if you’re not careful about the rhythm level.

Maybe every guitarist’s first pedal should be a looper. There are few more engaging ways to learn than playing along to your own ideas—or programmed rhythms, for that matter, which are a component of the new DigiTech JamMan Solo HD’s makeup. Beyond practicing, though, the Solo HD facilitates creation and fuels the rush that comes from instant composition and arrangement or jamming with a very like-minded partner in a two-man band.
