Solar Guitars Announces New Signature Guitars for Jonas Stålhammar and Martin Larsson from At The Gates

The A1.6 Baritone ATG is based on the Solar Type A model and includes an extended-scale neck and Fishman Fluence Modern active humbuckers.

Sant Gregori, Spain (May 24, 2018) -- Solar Guitars announces the addition of Jonas Stålhammar and Martin Larsson from At The Gates, the legendary Swedish death metal band, as the newest members of the Solar Guitars artist family with a new Signature Series guitar.

The Solar A1.6 Baritone ATG is based on the Solar Type A model, and includes an extended scale neck (26,5”), a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern active humbuckers, Hipshot fixed bridge, Luminlay side dots and comes strung with D’Addario NYXL 11-64 tuned to B standard.

“Solar Guitars has become the natural extension of our music, it’s really the ultimate metal guitar” say both Martin Larsson and Jonas Stålhammar.

The Solar A1.6 Baritone ATG suggested street price is USD/EURO 1199.00 and is available for preorder from the Solar Guitars web-store:www.solar-guitars.com, and will be shipping upon the beginning of July 2018.

Gibson’s Theodore model

PRS Guitars and Ted McCarty family drop “Theodore” trademark objection, and Gibson agrees to drop opposition to PRS’s “594” and “Silver Sky Nebula” trademarks and trademark applications.

PRS Guitars yesterday announced that it has withdrawn its objection to Gibson’s registration of the “Theodore” trademark. In a press release, PRS stated it continues to hold dear and protect its long-standing agreement with Ted McCarty and the McCarty family regarding the exclusive rights to the “McCarty” trademark and to McCarty’s name and persona, first developed directly with Ted himself more than 25 years ago. After a series of private negotiations, Gibson has also agreed to drop its opposition to PRS’s “594” and “Silver Sky Nebula” trademarks and trademark applications.
