Synergy Amplification Unveils the Fryette Pittbull Ultra-Lead Module

Fryette recreated the Pittbull’s sonic signature and managed to fit the amp’s 6-band EQ and forward-thinking tonal controls.

Los Angeles, CA (September 4, 2020) -- Synergy Amplification proudly announces cooperation with iconic amplifier designer Steven Fryette to release the The Fryette Pittbull Ultra-Lead module. The Fryette Pittbull Ultra-Lead (formerly branded VHT ) has been the secret sonic weapon of metal guitarists Page Hamilton (Helmet), Mick Thompson (Slipknot) Aaron Turner (Isis, Sumac), Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Volbeat) Gregg Tribbet (Mudvayne) and Koichi Fukuda (Static-X), to name just a few. This iconic tone machine amp head dishes out some of the tightest, most thickly distorted all-tube tones in history, making it ideal for players who want every note they play to explode off their fretboard. The Pittbull Ultra-Lead is also one of the most tweakable high-gain tube amps you’re likely to find. With its onboard 6-band EQ and range of Boost, Shift, and Edge switches, you can precisely dial your perfect version of an impossibly aggressive metal tone.

Along with his namesake amps, Steven Fryette has been instrumental in the development of Synergy Amplification. So, adopting the man’s most intense and lauded preamp circuit into one of our preamp modules was destined to happen. Not only did Fryette re-create the Pittbull’s sonic signature in flawless detail, but he even managed to fit the amp’s 6-band EQ and forward-thinking tonal control onboard. In addition, the Ultra-Lead module automatically selects between the two Cathode profiles to ensure that each channel mode will exhibit the feel and tonal balance that the Ultra-Lead is known for. If you are looking for a simple and affordable way to add astonishing high-gain tones and extreme flexibility into your rig, the Synergy Amplification Fryette Pittbull Ultra-Lead preamp module is the perfect tool for the job.

By partnering with such iconic amplifier designers as Steven Fryette, we’re able to offer you these sought-after tones in all-tube designs that are perfect for the direct-recording, lower-stage-volume, and compact-guitar-rig demands of today.

For the first time in the band’s history, the Dawes lineup for Oh Brother consisted of just Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith (left and right).

The folk-rock outfit’s frontman Taylor Goldsmith wrote their debut at 23. Now, with the release of their ninth full-length, Oh Brother, he shares his many insights into how he’s grown as a songwriter, and what that says about him as an artist and an individual.

I’ve been following the songwriting of Taylor Goldsmith, the frontman of L.A.-based, folk-rock band Dawes, since early 2011. At the time, I was a sophomore in college, and had just discovered their debut, North Hills, a year-and-a-half late. (That was thanks in part to one of its tracks, “When My Time Comes,” pervading cable TV via its placement in a Chevy commercial over my winter break.) As I caught on, I became fully entranced.

Though compressors are often used to add excitement to flat tones, pedal compressors for guitar are often … boring. Not so theWarm Audio Pedal76. The FET-driven, CineMag transformer-equipped Pedal76 is fun to look at, fun to operate, and fun to experiment with. Well, maybe it’s not fun fitting it on a pedalboard—at a little less than 6.5” wide and about 3.25” tall, it’s big. But its potential to enliven your guitar sounds is also pretty huge.
