Walrus Audio Unveils the Slö Multi-Texture Reverb

The pedal contains three different algorithms specifically designed to invoke textures for bringing dreams from your subconscious to reality.

Oklahoma, City, OK (April 15, 2019) -- Adding to its diverse arrangement of modulated effects, Walrus Audio is proud to announce the Slö Multi Texture Reverb. Create lush, modulated, sleepy and ambient landscapes with three different algorithms specifically designed to invoke textures for bringing dreams from your subconscious to reality. Plug in and let a wash of ambient trails spill into your surroundings. Get lost in the Slö. The Slö has three unique modes for shaping new sounds. Dark (Blendable Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell) and Dream (Latching Pad). Secondary functions on the toggle switch allow the user to change between different modulated wave shapes like Sine, Warp and Sink.

Modulation can be further manipulated by holding down the bypass switch and adjusting the depth knob to control modulation speed, giving the user the ability to combine drowsy modulation with long washy trails for the ultimate dreamstate experience.

The Slö comes in a “Lollipop Blue” enclosure with artwork by Christi Du Toit. The die-cast enclosure’s exact size is 4.77” x 2.6” x 1.39”. Power requirements are 9VDC, center negative (100mA minimum).

Walrus Audio is offering The Slö for a retail price of $199 and is available now at walrusaudio.com and with our authorized dealers all over the world.

The idiosyncratic, Summer of Love-era Musicraft Messenger had a short-lived run and some unusual appointments, but still has some appreciators out there.

Funky, mysterious, and rare as hen’s teeth, the Musicraft Messenger is a far-out vintage guitar that emerged in the Summer of Love and, like so many heady ideas at the time, didn’t last too much longer.

The brainchild of Bert Casey and Arnold Curtis, Musicraft was a short-lived endeavor, beginning in San Francisco in 1967 and ending soon thereafter in Astoria, Oregon. Plans to expand their manufacturing in the new locale seemed to have fizzled out almost as soon as they started.
