Oates’ signal path runs from his guitars to three separate Line 6 Relay G50 wireless units that he switches between with a Lehle 3at1 switcher—all powered by Strymon Ojai power supply. From there, the signal hits a Dunlop Crybaby 95Q Wah, TC Electronic PolyTune, Greenchild K818, Durham Electronics Sex Drive (which is always on), MXR Carbon Copy Delay, T-Rex Tap Tone delay, and a Line 6 MM4 Modulation Modeler. The signal is split from MM4. The right side goes to the Fender amp, while the left side hits a Boss GE-7 before going to the Todd Sharp amp. Effects are powered by Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+. The pedalboard is wired using Planet Waves Cables. Guitar tech Frank Robbins uses a customized footswitch to access the reverb and tremolo of the Fender amp.
