Walrus Audio Introduces the Luminary Octave Generator V2

The updates include a lengthened attack time, revised low-pass filter, and a tremolo effect.

Oklahoma City, OK (April 17, 2018) -- April 2016 saw the release of the Luminary Quad Octave Generator. Players were thrilled to have four blendable octaves with precise tracking and filter options making the Luminary an instant favorite in the world of modulated effects. We could not have been more happy with the outcome but it’s always Walrus Audio’s goal to keep improving. Since the Luminary’s release we have noted valuable feedback from artists and users, which brings us to the release of the Luminary V2. With several tasteful updates, the brains of the Luminary V2 are still built on the Sharc DSP platform for crystal clear tracking and high resolution A/D and D/A conversion.

The Luminary V2 updates are as follows:

  • Refined octave volume knobs
  • Lengthened attack time
  • Revised envelope low-pass filter
  • Tremolo effect on flutter knob
  • Added Smart Momentary Bypassing

The Luminary comes in a sand pebble textured finish with black and red ink. Artwork by illustrator Adam Forster features an updated version of a dystopian dictator’s watchful eye.

The die-cast enclosure’s exact size is 4.77” x 2.6” x 1.39”. Power requirements are 9VDC (300mA minimum).

Walrus Audio is offering The Luminary V2 for a retail price of $319 and is available as of April 24, 2018 at walrusaudio.com and with our authorized dealers.
