Montreal, QC (January 2, 2019) -- Godin Guitars is excited to announce the launch of their first ever line of Godin acoustic guitars. Set to be displayed at Winter NAMM 2019, these guitars mark a radical new chapter for the legendary electric guitar company. Conceived and designed by Simon Godin, these guitars were two years in the making and were a real labor of love for the young CEO.

Simon Godin: “The Godin brand has a strong reputation of quality and is firmly established in the guitar market. This made the task of creating a new line of acoustic guitars that much easier. This project was my chance to create something that expressed my vision for the future of the company. These are my dream acoustic guitars.”

The new line comes in three unique models: the Metropolis (dreadnought size), the Fairmount (concert hall size), and the Rialto (parlor body size). Premium tonewoods include Rosewood or Mahogany back and sides, coupled with solid Spruce or Cedar select tops. The Metropolis and Fairmount models are equipped with LR Baggs Anthem electronics and the Rialto is amplified with the Q-Discrete preamp. Unique characteristics to the guitar are a re-imagined body bracing, stunning inlays and a couple of never-before-seen finishes (Satina Gray and Havana Burst).

Godin’s long-standing reputation of quality and vision are put on display with these new series – built entirely in Canada. Winter NAMM show attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Godin acoustic series before they hit retail post-NAMM.
