PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Chicago, IL, where he catches up with Cycle of Pain's Joe Taylor and John "JD" DeServio--who also plays bass for Black Label Society. In this video segment, we chat all things gear, pain and run down both their live rigs. Joe Taylor-guitarist-plays a Gibson Les Paul Standard that runs through a Framus Cobra head and Framus 4x12 cabinets. And the only pedals Joe uses are a Vox wah and Boss TU-2 tuner. JD uses Hartke 8x10 cabs, which split through a Hartke LH1000 and Zoom bass heads. For effects, he uses a ZOOM B.1UT bass effects unit.

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
