Breedlove Introduces the Studio, Solo, and Pursuit Basses
Breedlove Pursuit Bass

The Pursuit models offer Fishman ISYS+ electronics and built-in USB ports.

Bend, OR (May 6, 2014) -- Breedlove Stringed Instruments is proud to present the Pursuit Bass ā€“ designed and quality checked in Bend, Oregon, U.S.A.

The aptly named Pursuit Series was created for players who are newly committed to pursuing their music career and are ready to share their music with the world. The Pursuit models offer Breedloveā€™s distinctively crafted sound and are ready for amplification with Fishman ISYS+ electronics, and feature built-in USB ports, so laying down tracks on your laptop or computer is easy and convenient.

The Pursuit Bass is a concert body shape with a 32ā€ scale, which makes it easier to play. The Breedlove Concert is the original Breedlove shape. It first appeared in 1992, and has been the best-selling Breedlove body shape ever since. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never muddy. The Breedlove Bridge Truss reduces tension on the soundboard of the bass, so the top wood is able to vibrate more freely, producing remarkable sustain, balance, and clarity. The BBT is mounted to the bridge from the inside and is connected into the tail block of the bass, pulling downward on the underside of the bridge relieving pressure on the top. The resulting tonal effect on BBT- equipped basses is more resonance and livelier sound with enhanced overtones.

Breedlove Solo Bass

Breedlove Stringed Instruments is proud to present the Solo Bass ā€“ designed and quality checked in Bend, Oregon, U.S.A.

If youā€™ve ever tried to write a song in a noisy room or on a rambunctious tour bus, you know how hard it can be to really hear your own instrument. The Solo Series models have a side sound hole monitor to allow you to hear your music as if you were standing in front of the instrument. Itā€™s a pretty amazing innovation, since the Solo models offer the same volume and distinctively crafted sound youā€™d expect from a Breedlove ā€“ the sound hole monitor doesnā€™t diminish the power or tone of the instrument, it simply allows you to hear every nuance of your performance as your audience hears it.

The Solo Bass is a jumbo body shape with a 34ā€ scale. Sound from the Solo Bass feels sonically propelled by the movement of so much air inside the body. The Solo Bass is also equipped with a Breedlove Bridge Truss which reduces tension on the soundboard of the bass, so the top wood is able to vibrate more freely, producing remarkable sustain, balance, and clarity. The BBT is mounted to the bridge from the inside and is connected into the tail block of the bass, pulling downward on the underside of the bridge relieving pressure on the top. The resulting tonal effect on BBT- equipped basses is more resonance and livelier sound with enhanced overtones.

When youā€™re ready to capture your music in the recording environment, whether in a home studio or a professional studio, the Studio Series delivers. These models were designed to fill the complete tonal range. The Bass offers equal balance and warmth thanks to the sapele back and sides. The jumbo body delivers big acoustic depth and presence.

ā€œIā€™ve been looking for years to find an acoustic bass that sounds great - and by that I mean with controllable eq so itā€™s full but not too boomy - but also feels and plays great. My Breedlove has it all and I couldnā€™t be happier!ā€ ā€“ Jeff Pilson, Foreigner - Studio Bass

Almost any effect can be used subliminally or to extremes. But tremolo is a little extra special when employed at its weirder limits. Unlike reverb or delay, for instance, which approximate phenomena heard in the natural world, tremolo from anything other than an amp or pedal tends to occur in the realm of altered statesā€”suggesting the sexy, subterranean, and dreamy. Such moods can be conjured with any single tremolo. Put two together, though, and the simply sensual can be surreal. Modify this equation by mating two distinctly different tremolo types, and the possible sound pictures increase manifold.
