Electro-Harmonix Unveils the 5MM Guitar Power Amplifier

The pedal is equipped with a volume control and a bright/norm switch which adds presence.

New York City, NY (October 18, 2019) -- Electro-Harmonix unveiled the compact 5MM Guitar Power Amplifier which produces 2.5 watts and can be connected directly to an 8Ω–16 Ω speaker cabinet.

The 5MM is equipped with a Volume control and a Bright/Norm switch which, when engaged, adds top boost or presence to the signal. EHX Founder, Mike Matthews stated: “You can use the 5MM alone to go from a sparkly clean tone to raw bluesy grit or plug a dirt/overdrive pedal or preamp into it. Then turn it up for some gnarly grind, or really crank it and get bathed in distortion!”

The 5MM comes equipped with a power supply, is available now and features a U.S. Street Price of $63.80.

After many decades of sticking with flagship body shapes, Fender spent the last several years getting more playful via their Parallel Universe collection. The Meteora, however, is one of the more significant departures from those vintage profiles. The offset, more-angular profile was created by Fender designer Josh Hurst and first saw light of day as part of the Parallel Universe Collection in 2018. Since then, it has headed in both upscale and affordable directions within the Fender lineup—reaching the heights of master-built Custom Shop quality in the hands of Ron Thorn, and now in this much more egalitarian guise as the Player Plus Meteora HH.
