Nashville, TN (November 30, 2012) -- Epiphone has announced a limited-edition Tommy Thayer Spaceman Les Paul. The guitar will be available as a regular production model or in a special "stage-played" package, where fans can pay to have Thayer play the guitar onstage at the show of their choice. Here are the details from Tommy Thayer and Epiphone:

"This fantastic guitar is an exact version of my Gibson silver sparkle Custom Shop Standard that I've played onstage with KISS for years now.

"Having my own signature Epiphone Les Paul guitar is something I've dreamed about for a long time. When I was a teenage kid back in Portland, Oregon in the '70s I would look at the Les Pauls at the local guitar shop wall and dream that one day I might have one of my own to play – never fathoming that I'd have my own signature model someday!

"Being in KISS for over 10 years now has taken me to that place. It's important for me to put my name on a professional guitar for serious musicians that sounds great, looks amazing and is affordable." - Tommy Thayer

“The guitar is my first love, my partner in life. We grew up together and we’ll most likely die together.” —Thom Bresh

One of the best benefits of being a musician is that musicians know musicians, and musicians are the most interesting people you’ll ever meet. Albert Einstein, Charles Dickens, Georgia O’Keeffe, the Marx Brothers, Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, Juliette Lewis, Jack Black, and Zooey Deschanel are or were musicians, albeit not full-time.
