The Devil Wears Prada Mike Hranica
Hranica admits he frequently changes his pedalboard, but it currently features an Ernie Ball volume pedal whose tuner out feeds a Boss TU-3. The volume pedal’s main output runs into a MXR Noise Clamp, and then into a Reuss RSH-02 used as a boost. Next comes a Fuzzrocious Oh See Demon, which features a feedback booster. From there it goes to an Earthquaker Devices Hoof, a TC Electronic Ditto Looper, an Empress Effects Tape Delay, an MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay, a TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb, and a JHS Honey Comb tremolo. The last piece of the pedal puzzle is a proprietary channel switcher for the Verellen Skyhammer amp.

We rummaged through our entire backlog of Rig Rundown footage and photos to compile a guide to some of 2014’s tastiest, most elaborate stomp stations, including boards from the Cult’s Billy Duffy, Keith Urban, the Pixies, the Sword, Carlos Santana, Brent Mason, and more.

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
