Godin Guitars Releases Montreal Premiere and Empire Black HB

Godin adds four new models to the Montreal Premiere line-up.

Montreal, Canada (January 21, 2014) -- Montreal based Godin Guitars is getting ready for the upcoming New Year with the introduction of a number of exciting and versatile guitars at this yearā€™s Winter NAMM show, from January 23rd to the 26th in Anaheim California.

Godin Montreal Premiere P90, P90 w/Bigsby, TriplePlay and DLX models:
Introduced in 2013, the Montreal Premiere certainly stuck a chord with players looking for something new in the thinline, semi-hollow body electric guitar market. This has further expanded with the addition of four new models to the Montreal Premiere line-up. The Montreal Premiere Sunburst P90 HG features a set of Godin Kingpin P90 pickups and a custom tailpiece. A Bigsby tremolo equipped model is also available, featuring a roller saddle bridge. Players will now also be able to compose, perform and record wirelessly with the Montreal Premiere Sunburst TriplePlay featuring a fully integrated Fishman TriplePlay system in the guitar. Also, with hexaphonic saddle pickups in the bridge, players will have access to the Montreal Premiere as a 3-voice guitar (electric, acoustic & synth). Finally, the ā€œcrĆØme de la crĆØmeā€ model in the series is the new Montreal Premiere Lightburst HG DLX featuring a highly figured flame top, back & sides, flame maple set-neck with bound headstock and bound Richliteā„¢ fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. This Deluxe edition also features 2x Custom Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups and the new Graphtech Ratioā„¢ tuned machine heads.

All Montreal Premiere models feature an innovative spruce ā€œbreathe-throughā€ carved core. This unique feature promotes free airflow through the interior center block, in turn, making the Montreal Premiere a supremely resonant and vibrant guitar. Other features include a 3-way toggle switch along with 1x volume & 1x tone knob, a 24 3/4ā€ scale, mahogany set-neck with rosewood fingerboard (except DLX model), double-bound binding, high-gloss custom polished finish and ResoMax bridge system by Graphtech with stop tailpiece.

Godin Empire Black HB:
From the Godin Richmond series, the new Empire HB is powered by 2x Godin custom humbuckers, delivering simple & serious classic rock punch with a very appealing price tag! It features a single cutaway solid silver leaf body design and includes a black high-gloss finish, a 24 Ā¾ā€ scale, ultra comfortable mahogany ergocut neck with a worn in feel, rosewood fingerboard, high-ratio tuners, chrome wraparound bridge, 3-way toggle switch, 1 volume & 1 tone.

Keith Urbanā€™s first instrument was a ukulele at age 4. When he started learning guitar two years later, he complained that it made his fingers hurt. Eventually, he came around. As did the world.

Throughout his over-30-year career, Keith Urban has been known more as a songwriter than a guitarist. Here, he shares about his new release, High, and sheds light on all that went into the path that led him to becoming one of todayā€™s most celebrated country artists.

There are superstars of country and rock, chart-toppers, and guitar heroes. Then thereā€™s Keith Urban. His two dozen No. 1 singles and boatloads of awards may not eclipse George Strait or Garth Brooks, but heā€™s steadily transcending the notion of what it means to be a country star.
