Korg Releases Stageman 80

Simple-to-use, high quality, and multi-function portable PA amp with a powerful sound system.

Melville, New York (April 1, 2016) -- Forget stiff MIDI drum patterns; with the release of Stageman 80, a simple-to-use, high quality, multi-function, portable PA amp with a powerful sound system, Korg provides performing musicians with 4GB of high-quality rhythms featuring live drummers - - with variations, fills, and an ending for each. Users can chain rhythms together for complete performances, or use an optional footswitch to control changes live.

To easily accommodate multiple performance configurations, Stageman 80 includes inputs for instruments and a microphone, plus one stereo Aux-in. Along with EQ, reverb, a tuner, audio playback, recording and overdub (with optional SD card) and a high-output dual speaker system with 80 watts of power, Stageman80 is a complete performance and accompaniment solution.

The Stageman 80 is equipped with a large number of high-quality rhythm patterns that take advantage of KORG's advanced sound-generating technology. Based on performances by top-ranking pro drummers and percussionists, these rhythm patterns utilize KORG's new "Real Groove Technology" that allows natural and musical-sounding phrases to be generated at any tempo. 4GB of rhythm loops are included, covering a range of 24 genres; such as 8-beat, 16-beat, unplugged beats; Cajon, rock, jazz, and boss nova, with two variations for each genre.

For further flexibility, power can be supplied from the included adapter or from six D batteries. Battery power allows up to 20 hours of continuous operation, and the extendable stand allows the Stageman 80 to be tilted upward for better sound dispersion.
