Strymon Introduces the Ojai and Zuma Power Supplies

Ojai offers five high-current, individually isolated, ultra-low-noise outputs—each with its own dedicated regulator and custom transformer.

Westlake Village, CA (January 21, 2016) -- Strymon, makers of no-compromise, ultra-high-quality effects pedals, announced today a compact power supply solution that delivers clean, rock-solid high-current power in a lightweight design that is expandable for growing pedalboards. Introducing: Ojai.

Ojai is the highest horsepower, most technologically advanced effects pedal power supply of its size. Ojai offers five high-current, individually isolated, ultra-low-noise outputs—each with its own dedicated regulator and custom transformer. Designed to meet the needs of today’s players, each output provides a staggering 500mA of current.

Ojai is part of an expandable system, perfect for those with growing pedalboards. If additional outputs are desired, a second Ojai (sold separately) can be connected to the 24V Thru jack, to power up to 10 high-current pedals at once. Ojai’s small chassis will fit just about anywhere on your pedalboard.

Ojai has automatic worldwide power compatibility built-in, when connected with the appropriate IEC cable, for use on any stage anywhere in the world. Whether it's plugged into 120V, 240V, 100V, or any variation in between, Ojai delivers clean, reliable power, even if the venue has dirty power. Ojai is designed so that the user doesn't have to think about any of this: It just works, hassle-free and worry-free.

Ojai's dual-stage topology, pre-regulated outputs, optically isolated feedback, and advanced multistage filtering result in a switching power supply that is actually quieter than linear units. In other words, Strymon cracked the code and developed a power supply that allows effects pedals to achieve their highest possible dynamic range.

Ojai is designed and built in the USA and housed in a compact, lightweight, and rugged anodized midnight blue aluminum chassis.

Pricing & Availability
Ojai will be available spring 2016 for $149 (US) and sold through the Strymon online store and authorized Strymon dealers.

Though compressors are often used to add excitement to flat tones, pedal compressors for guitar are often … boring. Not so theWarm Audio Pedal76. The FET-driven, CineMag transformer-equipped Pedal76 is fun to look at, fun to operate, and fun to experiment with. Well, maybe it’s not fun fitting it on a pedalboard—at a little less than 6.5” wide and about 3.25” tall, it’s big. But its potential to enliven your guitar sounds is also pretty huge.
