Stuart Spector Announces Esopus Guitars

The design of these guitars follows some long held traditions but also includes some proprietary use of new technologies, giving these large bodied guitars a truly remarkable balance and richness of sound.

ā€‹With over 3 years in design and preparation, Epopus is launching the UD-1, a Jumbo Flat-top Acoustic.

All Esopus Guitars will be constructed of wood choices that include rosewood and ebony from India and Sri Lanka, spruce from the Adirondacks and British Columbia, as well as local spruce from the Catskill Mountains. The design of these guitars follows some long-held traditions but also includes some proprietary use of new technologies, giving these large-bodied guitars a truly remarkable balance and richness of sound.

"In this age of disposable products it's a rare privilege to be able to produce guitars that can be enjoyed by multiple generations of players", says Stuart. "Every time I string up a new instrument I'm amazed by the magic of strings vibrating wood to produce the heavenly sounds that made me fall in love with guitars in the first place."

UD-1 Features:

  • Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid Rosewood back and sides
  • 5pc Mahogany/Maple/Walnut bolt-on neck
  • Abalone Buckeye Burl rosette
