Warwick and Framus Open A New York City Custom Shop Showroom
Warwick and Framus Custom Shops now have their instruments on display in New York City
New York, NY (October 1, 2009) -- New York City welcomed the new Warwick and Framus Custom Shop Showroom to its famed East Village this week. The neighborhood has a casual and welcoming vibe, and it’s well known as a place where musicians, artists and poets hang out. The showroom is located in a newly renovated storefront space that has an antique-style tin ceiling and retains one of its original brownstone brick walls. It gives the feeling of being in a friendly downtown boutique.
In addition to giving both lines more exposure and being a place where artists can bring their instruments for an overhaul, Warwick and Framus plan to host artist clinics and special events in this new space.
To celebrate the showroom’s grand opening, Warwick and Framus invited their artist endorsers, local musicians and MI press to meet the showroom staff and company personnel during an all-day housewarming party on September 24th. Instruments and amplifiers from both lines were on display and ready to try out. As the day progressed, the room filled with people having a good time jamming on the gear and socializing.
Some of the artists who attended the event include Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon), Hansford Rowe (Gongzilla), Andy Cichon (Billy Joel), Earl Slick, T.M. Stevens, Kasim Sulton, David Fiuczynski (Screaming Headless Torsos), Jonas Hellborg, James Jamerson, Jr., Nick Douglas (Doro), Jennifer Arroyo (Suicide City) and Winston Roye (“Rock Of Ages”).
