MOD Kits DIY Unveils the Saturator

MOD Kits DIY Unveils the Saturator

This pedal is the company's first new production kit being release with a laser-etched design.

Tempe, AZ (September 23, 2019) -- The Saturator is an overdrive pedal kit that covers a wide range of gain effects. The Saturator can transition smoothly from a massive clean boost to a warm, saturated, and sustained distortion with the turn of a knob.

The saturation is controlled with the Soak knob. The soak dials in the amount of symmetrical soft clipping applied to the guitar signal. When fully counterclockwise, the signal is unaffected and clean. Rotating the knob clockwise will incrementally increase the soft clipping. The sound will morph from a clean signal all the way to a heavy saturated overdrive sound and then into distortion territory. The ā€œLevelā€ knob sets the overall volume of the clean or saturated output. Unity gain is roughly at 8 oā€™clock. With the ā€œSoakā€ set to clean, rotating the ā€œLevelā€ knob clockwise will increase the level to upwards of 30dB.

The Saturator is the first new production pedal kit being release with a laser etched design. MOD Kits DIY will release all current production pedals with new laser etched designs in the near future.

MOD Kits are designed to give novice and experienced musicians the opportunity to build their own amps and effects pedals. All kits come with easy-to-follow instructions and use point-to-point wiring. A pre-drilled enclosure and all necessary parts are included. All you need to provide are hand tools, a soldering iron and solder. The effect pedal operates on a 9V battery; for a longer lasting option, a 9-volt adapter can be purchased separately.

Though compressors are often used to add excitement to flat tones, pedal compressors for guitar are often ā€¦ boring. Not so theWarm Audio Pedal76. The FET-driven, CineMag transformer-equipped Pedal76 is fun to look at, fun to operate, and fun to experiment with. Well, maybe itā€™s not fun fitting it on a pedalboardā€”at a little less than 6.5ā€ wide and about 3.25ā€ tall, itā€™s big. But its potential to enliven your guitar sounds is also pretty huge.
