Reverend Announces Upgraded Pete Anderson Models

The PA-1 HB Custom is loaded with Reverend’s newest pickups, the Special HAL humbuckers.

Livonia, Michigan (January 7, 2016) -- The Reverend Pete Anderson PA-1 HB Custom has been given a makeover. New for 2016 are the beautiful colors: Satin Deep Sea Blue and a deeper Satin Violin Brown.

Reverend also added a Bigsby for all your vibrato needs. Like the other PA-1 models, this one also has the classic hollow-body look and feedback-controlling Uni-Brace system. The PA-1 HB Custom, however, is loaded with Reverend’s newest pickups, the Special HAL Humbuckers, for a clean and smooth vintage tone.

Like all Reverends, the Pete Anderson PA-1 HB Custom has a Korina three-piece neck, a graphite nut and locking tuners, Reverend’s Bass Contour Control, and a dual-action truss rod – all for maximum performance.

When columnist Bill Leigh played bass behind trombonist Fred Wesley, he got an up-close look at how P-Funk bassists helped define a sound.

Most of us are continually working to broaden our bass skills, from fretboard familiarity and technical mastery to specific musical competencies, like bass-line construction and development, walking, and soloing. Along the way, we may try to incorporate the tone and techniques of specific bassists into our playing, sometimes while learning their parts from songs they played on.

Brian May is the Most Interesting Guitarist in the World

Whether you’ve been listening to Queen since they released their self-titled debut in 1973 or you first heard them in Wayne’s World, we can all surely agree that Brian May is a guitarist you should know about. His leads are melodic and singable, and his overdubbed guitar choirs are unparalleled. Is he also one of the smartest guitarists around? (He’s also an astrophysicist on the side!) Jason shares his Rig Rundown story, and guitarist Nathaniel Murphy calls in with an appreciation.
