Rig Rundown: Royal Thunder

The Atlanta quartet shows off the beer-soaked gear they use to create their haunting Southern pysch rock.

Taking advantage of their vast options, Josh had Yamaha go to work and come up with this custom Revstar that has all-gold hardware on a vintage white finish and custom pickguard and truss-rod covers. He requested they use the Vibramate String Spoiler to make changing strings with the Bigsby a breeze. Lastly, Weaver had them use a set of Lolllar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers, because he feels most neck-position humbuckers are too boomy and unusable, whereas these lower-output ’buckers give him a strong, punchy, midrange tone with lots of clarity.
