Scott Walker Unveils New Araya Lap Steel Guitar

Scott Walker Guitars unveils a new 6-string slide guitar.

Santa Cruz, CA (March 29, 2013) -- Adding to the company’s well-established line of guitars, Scott Walker Guitars unveils a new 6 string slide guitar. This guitar offers sustain, clarity and tone unheard in the steel guitar industry. The Walker Steel features a unique construction, solid hard rock maple with a carbon beam at the heart, and a 1/2” thick aluminum bridge inset into the body and bolted on through the back, directly coupling the carbon beam and transferring string energy though the entire guitar, and adding stability to accommodate heavy string gauges.

Using high quality components and construction techniques, this isn't your grandpas steel guitar. With nod to some of the vintage designs, the Araya is new and refreshing. Featuring a carved maple body and Italian celluloid adornments.

  • 23” scale length
  • Lollar Supro pickup, Mater Volume and Tone, Momentary kill/boo-wah switch
  • 3 Stainless steel legs
  • Custom Walker Built case
