Despite being designed by famed Rickenbacker luthier Roger Rossmeisl, the 30Ã??-scale Fender Coronado II hollowbody (and the one-pickup Coronado I) never quite caught on and was discontinued in 1973. "It's very much like a Guild Starfire," says Petersson of this specimen from the first year of production. "It's a great-sounding, underappreciated bass."
