Ox4 Pickups Launches the 51’4 Tele Set

Each 51’4 pickup is hand made in the UK by Ox4’s Mark Stow based on his experience with an original 1951 FenderTelecaster.


Ox4 Pickups has expanded their line of premium pickups with the introduction of the 51’4 Tele set.

A direct drop-in replacement for standard Telecaster pickups, the 51’4 Teleset is intended as a tonal upgrade for guitarists wanting more sparkle and punch from their instrument.

Ox4 have been making pickups for the last decade and have a gained a strong following worldwide. Each 51’4 pickup is handmade in the UK by Ox4’s Mark Stow based on his experience with an original 1951 FenderTelecaster. Stow experimented with numerous different winds and magnet choices to get as close as possible to the original classic before he was fully satisfied with clarity and impact of the 51’4 set.

Here are key 51’4 specs:

  • Alnico 4 magnets
  • Correct PE wire, 43 for Neck 42 for Bridge
  • Flat poles
  • Available in new or aged finishes
  • Maximum clarity and dynamic response
