Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop Collaborate on 1959 Les Paul Standard Model

The guitars feature a mahogany body with a maple top with a AAA figured maple veneer, comfortable 1959 hand-rolled neck profile with long neck tenon, aged finish, and Gibson USA BurstBucker 2 & 3 humbuckers.

Nashville, TN (November 30, 2020) -- The leading innovator in designing affordable professional instruments, Epiphone asked the question, “What if we set our sights on making guitars with Gibson Custom Shop’s vintage looks, but at an accessible price point?” From that initial design meeting two years ago, Epiphone is proud to premiere the first-ever collaboration between Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop on the new 1959 Les Paul Standard, available worldwide at Epiphone Authorized Dealers.

Made in partnership with the Gibson Custom Shop, the Limited Edition 1959 Les Paul Standard is Epiphone's stunning recreation of the rare vintage classic Les Paul. Featuring a Mahogany body with a Maple top with a AAA figured Maple veneer, comfortable 1959 hand-rolled neck profile with long neck tenon, aged finish, Gibson USA BurstBucker 2 & 3 humbucking pickups, Switchcraft selector switch and output jack, CTS pots, 50s era wiring, Mallory capacitors, non-beveled pickguard, new Epiphone Deluxe vintage tuners, and a vintage-style brown hard case. It also comes with an Epiphone Limited Edition metal medallion toggle switchplate. The Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard is available in Aged Dark Burst and Aged Dark Cherry Burst.
