Guitars, amps, and stomps we saw on our second day at the Anaheim gear show.

Milkman Sound Vintage Amplifiers came to NAMM with its incredible new Half and Half head ($1,399 street). It looks and sounds like a lovely all-tube wonder thanks to two 12AX7s and a 12AT7 driving the spring reverb tank, but the amazing part is how vintage it sounds despite its ultra-light class-D power amp—which dishes out 300 watts into 4 or 8 ohms. It's a fantastic platform for steel guitar or stomp boxes.
