Harmony Guitars Launches the Juno

A reimagination of the iconic Harmony H44 Stratotone.

Kalamazoo, MI (January 9, 2020) -- Harmony (www.harmony.co), the world’s most cherished maker of musical instruments, today announced the launch of the Harmony Juno. The Juno is the latest addition to Harmony’s Standard Series and the highly anticipated reimagination of the iconic Harmony H44 Stratotone. Lightweight, perfectly balanced and comfortable in the hands, but still packing a big sound: it is the perfect grab and go guitar. Take it anywhere you want to go – it also comes with a free MONO Stealth Mini Case that’s exclusively designed for the Juno.

The compact Juno has a single cutaway solid body with comfortable body contours and comes in three nitrocellulose finishes – Rose, Champagne and Pearl White. It has the same 3x3 style headstock as the Harmony Jupiter and is constructed with genuine mahogany and custom hardware that the Standard Series is known for. This reimagined H44 sports Harmony’s new proprietary gold foil P90s and minimalist but effective wiring that provides players with quick and powerful tonal options, and greater facility on the instrument.

Head of Guitar Research & Development, Edwin Wilson shares: “We were blown away by the love for the Juno when we previewed it earlier this year. Players resonated with the tonal options at their disposal from the combination of our P90 pickups and our simple control layout. With a 3-way pickup selector and an intuitive single push-pull volume knob that provides you with two different tone presets, the Juno delivers a fuss-free array of useable tones — from warm cleans to snappy overdriven bite.

“With its smaller body but full 25” scale length and C neck profile, put the Juno in any player’s hands and it will just feel right. Its simplicity, tone and sheer playability has stolen the hearts of both professionals and Harmony fans and we cannot wait for more people to get their hands on one,” he added.

The Juno is available now via select dealers at MAP US$1,199.00.

Compared to the dynamic germanium Fuzz Face, silicon versions sometimes come off as brutish. And even though they can be sonorously vicious, if dirty-to-clean range and sensitivity to guitar volume attenuation are top priorities, germanium is probably the way to go. The McGregor Classic Fuzz, however, offers ample reminders about the many ways silicon Fuzz Faces can be beastly, sensitive, and sound supreme.
