Bogner Amplification Unveils the Oxford Fuzz and Lyndhurst Compressor

Both effects utilize ultra-high-quality Rupert Neve Designs transformers.

North Hollywood, CA (May 10, 2017) -- Adding to the company’s line of pro-quality effects, Bogner Amplification has unveiled two new pedals: the Oxford Fuzz and Lyndhurst Compressor. Both effects utilize ultra-high-quality Rupert Neve Designs transformers that deliver unique feel and harmonic richness to each pedal’s tone.

Available for purchase beginning April 14, these two effects offer a dynamite upgrade to any pedalboard.

Oxford Fuzz:

Oxford is fully capable of subtle, amp-like breakup that reacts to every nuance of your style. In fact, though it’s considered a fuzz pedal, lower positions on the Gain knob can even elicit a near clean and clear boost. But kick the Gain Switch to the + setting and prepare for walls of unending breakup, sustain, and thick harmonic layers that can only be described as destruction.

Key features for the Oxford Fuzz include:

  • Gain Switch: “-“ low gain, amp-style breakup to vintage-style fuzz; “+” high gain, aggressive and lo-fi fuzz with extreme gain on tap. (Higher-gain settings can introduce some noise)
  • Fuzz Switch: 3 positions, darker, dark, and bright with more attack
  • Tone: Controls overall tone
  • Level: Controls output volume
  • Gain: Controls the amount of gain
    • Jewel Light: Reacts to the dynamics of your playing, depending on the output level of your instrument
    • Power: 9 volt DC, negative tip, power connector or internal 9V battery
    • 100% Analog Circuit Path

True Bypass

Comes in both original green color faceplate or Bubinga style wooden faceplate

MAP for the Oxford Fuzz is $229.99 (MSRP $269.99) for the green faceplate, and MAP $279.99 (MSRP $329.99) for the Bubinga style wooden faceplate.

Lyndhurst Compressor:

Great-sounding compression comes in a lot of forms, and the Bogner Lyndhurst can nail every one of them. Want the classic country twang? Or try backing off on the squash, flipping the 3-position EQ switch to Sparkle, and enjoying the 3-dimensional clarity of the vintage Neve consoles in Electric Lady, Blackbird, and Sound City studios. You can even dime the pedal’s Inp/Comp control for a gritty and sustaining tone that will give your favorite overdrive pedals a run for their money.

Key features for the Lyndhurst Compressor include:

  • Eq: 3-position post compression Eq for “F” flat, “S” sparkle or “C” chime
  • Attack: 2-position switch for selecting 100% variable adjustment of the pedal's attack speed or "Auto" mode for dynamic control with a firmer response.
  • Ratio: Controls the amount of gain reduction applied in relation to the input signal. 1:1 = no compression
  • Level: Controls the output level. Use this to “make up” the gain lost due to compression.
  • Inp/Comp (threshold): Works as an interface between the instrument and the compressor section. Controls the amount of gain and compression of the preamp which feeds into the actual compressor. Turning up the control will make the instrument increasingly more touch sensitive. Too much gain can clip the preamplifier into distortion. At lower settings compression is reduced, allowing the Lyndhurst to act more like a peak limiter.
    • Jewel Light: Reacts to the dynamics of your playing, depending on the output level of your instrument
    • Power: 9 volt DC, negative tip, power connector or internal 9V battery
    • 100% Analog circuit path

True Bypass

Comes in both original black color faceplate or Bubinga style wooden faceplate

MAP for the Lyndhurst Compressor is $279.99 (MSRP $329.99) for the black faceplate or MAP $329.99 (MSRP $389) for the Bubinga style wooden faceplate.
