Fishman Expands Fluence Line with Multi-Voice Bass Pickups and Launches the Loudbox Mini

The initial offering is the Soapbar, which is available packaged as individual pickups or in sets for 4-string and 5-string basses.

Fishman

Anaheim, CA (January 10, 2019) -- Responding to players and OEM customers, Fishman is expanding its popular Fluence line with new Soapbar multi-voice bass pickups at Winter NAMM 2019.

Since their introduction in 2014, Fishman Fluence guitar pickups have been embraced by players such as Tosin Abasi, Keith Merrow, Devin Townsend, Sara Longfield, Sonny Landreth and OEM customers such as ESP, Schecter, Strandberg, Ibanez and other top-tier guitar-makers.

Based on Fishman’s convention-disrupting Fluence Core technology, the new pickups for bass bring the revolutionary multi-voice performance, dynamic range, and articulation of Fluence technology to 4-string and 5-string bassists.

The initial Fluence Bass offering is the Soapbar, which is available packaged as individual pickups or in sets of two for 4-string and 5-string basses. And, like all Fishman Fluence pickups, the Soapbar is Multi-Voice and can be powered by a standard 9V battery or an optional Fluence Rechargeable Battery Pack.

The three voices for the Fluence Soapbar were created to offer players a wide palette of sounds that cover all playing styles. Voice 1: Classic is inspired by the best vintage passive pickups, without the noise or hum. Voice 2: Funk delivers extra low-end punch, increased high-end articulation and a contoured mid-range. Voice 3: Modern produces a full-range response with high-end articulation optimized for aggressive rock or metal styles.

For more tonal variations, Fluence Soapbar bass pickups can be split for single-coil operation to further expand the tonal palette.

Fluence Soapbar bass pickups are available now at all Fishman Fluence dealers and as original equipment in the Schecter SLS Elite and SLS Evil Twin model basses.

MSRP for Fluence Soapbar sets is $259.95
