Designed by PRS Guitars in Stevensville, MD, USA. Made in the USA.
Fuzz-Tone FZ-M
Maestro created the world’s first fuzz pedal – the Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1. Introduced in 1962, the Fuzz-Tone became the sound of rock and roll and a must-have accessory for guitarists everywhere after the success of 1965’s (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones, which prominently featured its cutting edge sound. Now Maestro is bringing the fun and sonic fury of those early Fuzz-Tones back with the new Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M. This all-analog pedal boasts a Mode toggle switch that provides two pedals in one functionality for increased sonic versatility with both an FZ-1 inspired fuzz sound and a thicker, more modern fuzz tone. Its 3-knob control layout gives you intuitive control. The Attack knob controls the amount of fuzz. The Tone control lets you adjust the timbre from bright and raspy to warm and wooly and anywhere in between.
Tech 21 SansAmp Character Plus Series
The SansAmp Character Plus Series celebrates the unique chemistry between specific historic amplifiers and specific historic pedals, and cleverly unites them together in single packages:
- Screaming Blonde = Fender-style + Tube Screamer-style
- English Muffy = HiWatt-style + Big Muff-style
- Fuzzy Brit = Marshall-style + Fuzz Face-style
- Mop Top Liverpool = Vox-style + Rangemaster Booster-style
Each of the individually-voiced Character controls sweep through an entire spectrum of eras within their particular amp style. Screaming Blonde tones range from the ‘50s Fullerton to blackface and silverface. The English Muffy spans from classic UK rock to prog rock. Fuzzy Brit goes from classic hard rock to all current rock genres. The Mop Top Liverpool embodies the British invasion through “Bohemian” rock.
These 2-channel multi-function pedals are each like having a stompbox within a stompbox. You can use the SansAmp amplifier emulation on its own or just the effect on its own. The all-analog SansAmps Character Plus Series pedals can be used as stand-alone pre-amps to drive a power amp, a studio mixer, or a PA system, or to complement your existing amp. Other features include built-in speaker simulation individually tuned to match each of the speaker/cabinet configurations associated with each amplifier type; 3-band active EQ, XLR Output, included 9V DC Power Supply. Rugged all-metal housing measures 7.75”l x 2.5”w x 1.25”h and weighs just 12 oz.

This pedal offers dual engines, extended IR capability, and a powerful tri-core CPU.
The original BigSky pedal was released in 2013, becoming an icon by redefining how guitariststhe world over thought about reverb, and the new BigSky MX expands on the original design inevery facet. With a super fast tri-core 800 MHz ARM processor, BigSky MX can run two reverbalgorithms at once and route or pan the audio in a number of different ways. The new advancedconvolution engine allows a huge ten seconds of stereo impulse response playback per instance, along with full IR editing and a suite of custom long captures of classic studio tools and oddballvintage gear. Many of the new reverb algorithms are brand-new from the ground up, and weretuned using a state-of-the-art gradient descent algorithm to remove any unwanted artifacts andringing. A crisp OLED display provides clear information about the currently loaded preset, whichmakes managing dual reverb patches a snap.
BigSky MX features stereo I/O and discrete ClassA JFET input preamps, EXP/TRS MIDI, DIN MIDI and USB-C for connection to Strymon’s Nixie 2software editor.“We’ve been working on this thing for the better part of four years”, said Gregg Stock, Strymon’sCEO and co-founder. “It’s been a labor of love, and we knew that the legions of original BigSkyfans were counting on us to get it right the first time. In the end it exceeded all of ourexpectations, and we’re really happy with how it turned out.” Stock continues, “The 12 enginesin BigSky MX produce the absolute best ambiences we’ve ever made, and the ability to run twoengines at once and the impulse stuff is a major step forward.”
Pete Celi, Strymon’s co-founder and DSP guru adds “playing around with BigSky MX duringdevelopment has been a blast. The new algorithms are bigger, wider and cleaner than anythingwe’ve been able to achieve in the past, and impulse response playback is a welcome addition. We’ve included our very own long captures of some classic studio devices and some oddballvintage units collected by one of our engineers too, so there is an entire world of creative reverbin there to explore”.
The BigSky MX was designed and is manufactured in Los Angeles in the USA, and is available now directly from Strymon and from dealers worldwide for $679 US.

West Coast folk musician and songwriting powerhouse Madison Cunningham engages in some anger management.
Along with hosts Sean Watkins and Peter Harper, Cunningham, whose 2022 record Revealer won the Grammy for Best Folk Album, digs into the nature of artistry and truth-telling: What are the social and professional costs of telling it like it is, or simply sticking to your artistic guns instead of appealing to the masses? Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot got them dropped from their label—then it went on to become their most celebrated record. Who’s to say?
Invoking her upbringing in the church and subsequent alienation from it, in part thanks to the ostracizing that came from questioning the rules, Cunningham leads the group on a writing session rooted in expressing anger and frustrating. “I write because I’m trying to hit something instead of someone,” Cunningham quips. What takes form is a folk-rock “rage song” about transmitters and receivers, about the incessant flow of information and the resonance, dissonance, and white noise that we’re all hooked up to. It’s also an expert lesson in subtlety and the expression of complex ideas: “Talk about the summer, passing the time/Your guess about Jesus is as good as mine,” Cunningham conjures on the verse.

Esopus Guitars announces new "Tailwater" bass guitar from luthier Stuart Spector.
This 32” scale bass is handcrafted by Stuart at the Esopus Guitar workshop located near Woodstock NY in the Catskill Mountains. The Tailwater bass features a fully chambered spruce over alder body (15.5" lower body bout width, 2.25" body thickness measuring from the peak of the carved top).
Each Tailwater bass is hand signed and numbered on the back of the peghead by Stuart Spector. A very limited number of Tailwater basses are handcrafted each year at the Esopus workshop.
"I am proud to present the Tailwater bass, a bass that I have spent the last three years perfecting.
