Balthazar

Balthazar Film Noir 50

Based on the Selmer Truvoice Treble ’N’ Bass 50 that Syd Barrett used on Pink Floyd’s The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the handwired Film Noir 50 is a cool, quirky 50-watt head with a throaty core voice. Chicago-based amp maker Balthazar de Ley uses two EL34 tubes to power the expertly crafted amp, which interacts with distortion pedals in endlessly fascinating ways and definitely nails the Syd sound.
